Create / activate pairwise alignment (admin)

 
 
It is possible to let visitors of the website align their sequences to sequences in selected reference databases.
 
An alignment template has to be made and the administrator of the website can decide which reference databases are included.
 
The include a local reference database, make sure that the needed files are stored in the DB folder of the Files section.

In short, how to create / activate the pairwise alignment:

 
  • In the admin panel, create a new alignment template.
  • Drag the wanted reference databases to the template and set the properties as preferred.
  • Click Save.
  • Create a page where the alignment template will be placed on.
  • Optional: In the menu, add a link to the new page, for the user to navigate to the alignment easily.

Written instructions:

 
  • Create the alignment template:
    1. In the Admin panel, go to Templates.
    2. Create a new template.
         a. Select the template type: Alignment
         b. Enter the name of the alignment template
         Click Create
    3. Build the alignment by dragging the wanted reference databases.
    4. Click on any of the dragged database to see and set the properties on the right.
    5. Save the alignment template
     
  • Create the page where the alignment is displayed:
    6. In the Admin panel, go to Pages
    7. Create a new page.
         a. Enter the title of the page.
    8. Drag the alignment template, from the Components/Alignment section, to the page.
    9. Click on the alignment to see and set the properties.
         a. Select the web layout for this page.
    10. Click Save.
     
  • Add scenario page to the menu:
11. In the Admin panel, go to Templates.
12. Go to the Menu template and click on the icon to edit.
13. Add the page to the right place in the menu.
14. Click Save.
