To split a file into several sub files, under Molecular Tools, in the Files group, click Split files.

Set the parameters to create the new sub files:
3. Click Ok to start splitting the file.
Split one file option
Split the selected file.

Split all files in the selected folder.

Path of file field
The path of the file or folder to be split.

Edit field
The path where the split files are going to be stored.

Select a new path.

Start line field
Each time this given character occurs, a new file is created.

End line field
Each time this given character occurs, a new file is created.

Number of lines field
Enter the number of lines a file may contain before being split

Drop down
Select format of the files (txt or xml).

Split option text
Split the file based on a given character. Each time this character occurs, a new file is created.

Split option max lines
Split the file based on a given number of lines.
|
|
Max number sub files
Maximum number of sub files (optional).

|
OK button
Start to split the file.
|
|
Cancel button
Cancel the splitting process and close the Split files window.
